04/2020 – 03/2023 – Oracle Cloud Finance Solutions Manager at Viking / Office Depot Europe in the Retail business

Responsible for the on-site and off-shore support of the Oracle Cloud Finance processes, solution design and management of our support vendors in this multinational Retail environment.

Viking Europe performed a phased roll-out of their Fusion Cloud solution to countries in Europe. The project is phased in terms of both countries to cover, as well as modules to cover, extending from Finance, Expenses, HCM to Order Management.

Initially I was responsible for the Order-to-Cash stream (process & Oracle) optimization and making Advanced Collections work after go-live. After a few months I was responsible for the on-site and off-shore support of the Oracle Cloud Finance processes, solution design and management of our support vendors.

Involved modules are R2R (General Accounting, VAT, Costing, Fixed and Lease Assets), O2C (Order Management, Receivables, Collections), P2P (Purchasing, Payables, Payments, Approvals, Expenses).

03/2020 – 08/2020 – Purchase Key User at Intergas in the Manufacturing business

Key User for the Purchasing processes in this roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics 365, in this multinational Manufacturing environment.

After Rheem decided to stop the R12 project at Intergas, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation was started. As a spin-off of the previous project, in Covid-19 times where the Purchasing department had their hands full on operational issues, my role was to use my gained knowledge to be the
Key User for the Purchasing processes.

09/2019 – 01/2020 – Lead Consultant Finance & P2P at Rheem Manufacturing in the Manufacturing business

Lead consultant for all Finance and Procurement modules in this roll-out of Oracle R12, in this multinational Manufacturing environment, including localizations in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Intergas is a pioneer in the field of heating and hot water technology and has become a leading player in high-efficiency boilers. The Intergas group was acquired by Rheem Manufacturing.

Rheem is rolling out their R12 solution to countries and entities around the world. In my role I am responsible for the implementation of the Finance and Procurement modules including localizations in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Involved modules are all core Financials including Payments, Assets, EB-Tax, Subledger Accounting, Procurement, iProcurement, Costing, Trade Management.

10/2018 – 03/2019 – Senior Finance Consultant at Nufarm Europe in the Agricultural Chemicals business

Delivering tactical direction for the financial business during the implementation of Oracle R12 in Germany, Austria and the Benelux, and the transition to using a Shared Service Center.

Nufarm is one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers of seeds and crop protection solutions.

Nufarm is rolling out the R12 solution to countries and entities around the world. In my role I am delivering tactical financing direction and support to the local business in various entities in Germany, Austria and the Benelux.

03/2018 – present – HR Consultant at AmRest in the Retail Business

Supporting the ATOSS Cloud landscape, integrated with other HR related systems. Responsible for the German data migration in the consolidation of the different brands in a new HR & Payroll BPO landscape.

AmRest is a rapid growing licensing company with 7 brands in 14 countries. As a follow up on the previous integration projects, the Starbucks HR landscape requires functional optimizations, tactical guidance and support.

I’m supporting the ATOSS Cloud landscape that is integrated with various other HR relatedsystems. This includes updates and upgrades to the Atoss Staff Efficiency Suite (ASES 11) and optimizations to the interfaces.

Responsible for the German data migration in the consolidation of the different brands in a new HR & Payroll BPO landscape.

09/2017 – 2019 – Senior Finance Consultant at Eftec in the Automotive Business

EMS-EFTEC is the leading expert for the automotive industry with engineered materials and application systems for bonding, coating, sealing and damping.

Almost 2 years after the implementation, the setting for the financial administration of the Swiss company changed. New (both legal and business) requirements ask for changes and extensions in the functionality, plus support issues to be resolved.

Involved modules are all core Financials including Payments, EB-Tax, Subledger Accounting, Intrastat, Process Manufacturing, OPM Costing.

11/2016 – 10/2017 – Project Manager for Integration Projects at AmRest in the Retail business

Managing various process & system integration projects in different brands and countries for this rapid growing licensing company, focusing on HR related processes. Version upgrade and migration of the Atoss landscape into the cloud.

AmRest is a rapid growing licensing company with 7 brands in 14 countries. During this project 3 brands in Germany are integrated. These companies need to be integrated in the AmRest IT Landscape.

As Project Manager, I’m responsible for integration projects with a focus on IT systems supporting HR and Operations related business processes. This includes migrating the integrated ATOSS environment to the cloud, integrating credit card solutions and expense systems.

As Solution Architect, I’m responsible for designing and developing a system maintaining restaurant location data. The cloud movement of the ATOSS application requires a partial redesign of internal and external data flows.

11/2017 – 05/2018 – Senior Oracle Finance Consultant at RedHat EMEA in the Enterprise Open Source Solutions business

Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of open source, enterprise IT solutions. It has many offices around the world, using Oracle R12 to support many of the back-office processes.

Red Hat is rolling out the R12 solution to countries and entities around the world. In my role I am responsible for the implementation of the Finance modules including localizations in Czech Republic.

Involved modules are all core Financials including EB-Tax, Subledger Accounting, Payments, AGIS and EMEA localizations.

08/2016 – 11/2016 – Senior Finance Consultant at Terex Compact Germany in the Manufacturing & Spare Parts business

Lead consultant for Finance in the divestiture of a Manufacturing & Spare Parts business unit, running on Oracle 11i.

Yanmar acquired Terex Corporation’s Compact Construction Equipment business. As a part of the sale, Terex needs to separate both companies in Oracle Applications.

In this project I am the Lead consultant for Finance in the divestiture of a Manufacturing & Spare Parts business unit in Germany and United States. The ERP migration takes place in Oracle 11i, involving all financial modules, costing, and the O2C and P2P tracks. Prior to the sale the assets were migrated into the legal entity being sold.

07/2014 – 03/2016 – Project Leader Finance / Lead Consultant at EMS-EFTEC in the Automotive business

EMS-EFTEC is the leading expert for the automotive industry with engineered materials and application systems for bonding, coating, sealing and damping.

EFTEC is consolidating a number of separate Oracle EBS 11i instances into a multi-org R12.2 environment. The initial implementation is done with 4 countries. This implementation is the basis for future rollouts.

In this project I’m responsible for all Finance related:

  • Harmonization of master data
  • Data migration
  • Solution implementation
  • RICE / Customizations / developments, and
  • Roll-out of the solution to 4 countries

This involved managing both on-site and offshore consultants and utilizing a pool of developers.

I rolled into the side-project for a new EDI environment to take over leadership and improve communications in this project.

Involved modules are all core Financials including Payments, EB-Tax, Subledger Accounting, Intrastat and localizations. Other modules used in this project and involved from a financial perspective are Process Manufacturing, OPM Costing, Inventory, Order Management, Purchasing and EDI.

08/2012 – 06/2014 – Solution Architect at Starbucks Coffee Deutschland in the Retail business

Starbucks Coffee Germany is implementing a Time, Attendance & Scheduling system based on ATOSS software to create a solution specific for the German market.

In this role, I am analyzing the business and functional requirements, designing the overall solution for the implementation and integration in existing procedures and systems. The solution is based on the ATOSS Staff Efficiency Suite (ASES 8). Other deliverables are Interface design and UAT & Training Strategy.

As a link between the German business teams, the EMEA IT teams and the IT and BPO suppliers, I’m also involved in the technical design, test, pilot & optimization phases.

07/2012 – 08/2012 – Senior Functional Consultant at SGS in the Service Industry business

SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, using Oracle 11i to support their financial and logistical processes.

In this role, I am preparing and training the customer on the 11i to R12 migration and supporting the customer while testing the financial and project administration modules.

Involved modules are all core Financial, Purchasing and Project modules.

05/2012 – 12/2013 – Project Leader Collections / Lead Consultant at Paramelt in the Process Industry business

Paramelt is an international manufacturer of waxes, using Oracle 11i to support their financial and logistical processes.

In this role, I am implementing the Advanced Collections module for the Collections department and supporting business process changes with regards to customer and collections handling.

Involved modules are Advanced Collections, Universal Work Queue, TeleSales, Receivables, Alerts, Workflow, BI Publisher and CRM Resource Management.

10/2011 – 01/2012 – Lead Consultant Cash Collections at CMA CGM SYSTEMS in the Maritime Shipping business

The CMA CGM Group is one of the large container shipping companies using Oracle 11i and upgrading to Oracle R12 to support all their financial processes.

My work consists of designing a solution to handle the Cash Collections business processes in Oracle Advanced Collections. The solution is a multi-site (4 carriers & 145 agencies), multi-language (43), multi-currency, and multi-regulation toolkit that can be deployed worldwide during the project. The work is conducted in Marseille, France and Kolkata, India.

Involved modules are Advanced Collections, Universal Work Queue, TeleSales, Receivables, Alerts, Workflow, BI Publisher and CRM Resource Management.

12/2010 – 04/2011 – Functional Analyst Oracle Finance at CAREL Germany GmbH in the Electronics Manufacturing business

The CAREL Germany company is already using Oracle 11i to support their logistics. Supported by the Italian CAREL Industries organization, a rollout of Oracle Finance is prepared.

My work consists of functional analysis for setup and migration, end user training and to provide post go-live support. Involved modules are Receivables, Payables, Cash Management and General Ledger and the German Localization.

09/2010 – 06/2011 – Lead Consultant at UMC St Radboud in the Health Care business

The migration of Oracle Applications 11i to Oracle R12.1.3 is done for 4 streams. As Lead Consultant I’m functional responsible for the Projects, Receivables and Collections stream. The migration involves two separate environments for the Radboud University and the St Radboud Medical Center.

Apart from the migration of Project Accounting, Project Billing, Order Management, Receivables and Subledger Accounting for these modules, I’m implementing the Advanced Collections module to perform the dunning, one implementation using Strategies and the other Staged Dunning, including template design in XML Publisher.

Both roles involved managing the development of the related RICE objects.

09/2009 – 04/2011 – Lead Consultant / Functional Designer at KPN in the Telecom business

As part of the migration from Oracle E-Business Suite 11i to R12, the customizations are migrated in different project phases. The first phase mainly focusses on migrating interfaces.

As a member of the on-shore customization team I’m responsible for designing the deltas of the interfaces, bases on the differences between 11i and R12 and on the changed setup and processes within the R12 environment. The customizations that I worked on were in General Ledger, Financial Accounting Hub, Accounts Receivables, Payables, EB-Tax, AME, Payments, Netting, Project Accounting, Order Management, Purchase Orders and Procurement.

During the course of this project I focused more on the Telco Roaming solution. The knowledge gained in this role is used in my next role as Lead Consultant for the Integration Tests, responsible for planning and quality of the tests.

11/2007 – 07/2009 – Business Analyst / Solution Designer Billing at Ziggo in the Telecom business

In 2008 three telecom companies (Casema, MultiKabel, @Home) merge to become the largest telecom provider in the Netherlands, with approx. 3,5 million residential customers. Information systems are partially linked to each other and partially redesigned and developed. Ziggo uses Comverse Kenan and Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.9 to support their CRM environment; modules involved are Oracle Financials, Advanced Collections, CRM, Order Management, Configurator, Installed Base, and Field Service.

The number of customers and the importance of the billing stream have a major impact on the organization, business processes and the performance of the systems. As Solution Designer, I’m responsible for designing the Billing & Collections related business processes and functional solutions in this merger and beyond. I’m also involved in Order Management changes and the impact analysis on the core financial modules for the migration to Oracle E-Business Suite R12.

02/2007 – 10/2007 – Knowledge Management & Process Optimization at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Dutch Government

As Senior Functional Consultant for Oracle Finance I’m responsible for designing changes in the Oracle E-Business Suite version 11.5.10 application; modules involved are Financials, Projects, Contracts and Internet Expenses, including the customized Travel Expenses add-on for the Department and Embassies & Consulates. I’m also involved in the cutover of Application Management to Oracle On Demand.

04/2006 – 01/2007 – Functional & Technical Designer at KPN Financial & Information Services in the Telecom business

KPN is replacing the existing Projects & Fixed Assets system by Oracle Project Administration & Fixed Assets, in the same Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 implementation that is already used by KPN Mobile; modules involved are Financials, Projects, Alerts, Workflow and WebADI.

Besides supporting the PA/FA implementation consultants in the project I’m responsible for the migration of the Fixed Assets data to Oracle FA and the implementation of WebADI for Fixed Assets and WebADI for General Ledger.

02/2005 – 04/2006 – Senior Implementation Consultant at the Protestant Church in the Netherlands in a Non-Profit organization

The merger of a number of churches in the Netherlands resulted in the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN). The PKN needs an unambiguous setup of their countrywide member registration, resulting in the choice for Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 as a platform for this application (LLR), which will be built in the HR module.

A secondary goal is to streamline the financial administration of the local councils, some 2600 in total, diaconates and other legal entities.

As senior consultant, I’m responsible for designing business processes, implementing the various financial administrations in Oracle Financials, designing the custom built fundraising functionalities and I advice the central administration on implementation approaches.

01/2005 – Project leader at Achmea Arbo in the Health Care business

The migration of the Oracle Database version 8.1.7 to 9.2.0 is separated from the Oracle E-Business Suite migration in 2004 (see below). The customer has only one weekend available in the first quarter of 2005; this migration has to be done first time right.

As the project leader, I’m responsible to make this happen, in coordination with the key users, application maintenance department and the suppliers / technical consultants. Four weeks after the project started, the E-Business Suite application of Achmea Arbo is running on the new database version.

08/2004 – 12/2004 – Functional Consultant at Achmea Arbo in the Health Care business

The customer is migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite version 11.5.6 to 11.5.9; modules involved are Oracle Financials, Order Management and Contracts.

My responsibilities include:

  • Testing new available functionality and adjusting the financial setup accordingly
  • Setting up the test script for the interfaces from and to the legacy systems

Advising on potential optimization of used functionality, creating work instructions and training end users.

06/2004 – 07/2004 – Functional Consultant at Reed Business Information in the Publishing business

The customer is migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite version 11.03 to 11.5.9; modules involved are General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Fixed Assets.

My responsibilities included testing:

  • Interfaces from the legacy systems to Oracle Accounts Payables and

The processing of AP transactions to the General Ledger.

1997– 2004 – Baan ERP related experience

2003-2004Supporting the year closures of a Dutch production company in a multi-site BaanIVc3 environment. This involved trouble shooting for non-posted transactions and archiving data in previous fiscal years.
2002-2004Managing an ICT support department and improving the implementation of ITIL procedures. This department mainly provided 2nd and 3rd line support of applications, databases and systems, like Baan, Banner, Oracle, Unix and Lotus Notes systems. The team I was leading consisted of 19 people and worked on both on-site and remote basis.
2002Training Slovenian consultants during a workshop BaanERP.
2002Coordinating the switchover of a BaanIVc4 environment from 2 servers to 1 new one. This project resulted in 2 separated environments for 2 former sister-companies.
2002Responsible for the take-over and implementation of Operations and Technical Support of the production-system of a Dutch company. This concerned the out tasking of the Technical Support by the customer.
2001-2002Responsible for the realization of interfaces from and to a BaanIVc4 environment at a Dutch IT company. This concerned both the design of the interfaces (both functional and technical) and managing the development- and test teams. The Exchange module of Baan was chosen as the interfacing platform.
2001Converting the fiscal year at a Dutch production company in a multi-site BaanIVc3 environment. This concerned the relocation of all financial transactions from a number of periods to the previous fiscal year, using the available utilities in Baan.

For the same company implementing archiving of Baan data. This included the roll out of the procedures, as well as the testing and running the archiving sessions in the BaanIVc3 and later on in the BaanIVc4 environment.

The Euro conversion for this company was done for all operational and archive companies, 8 in total. The size of the database led to a non-standard approach. The Euro conversion was partly done using dedicated software.

2000-2001Managing the transition to a new Baan environment for a Dutch steel trading and service-center. Included the cutover to new hardware and the BaanIVc4 software, the implementation of Baan Finance / Integrations and the interface design and implementation from/to the Logistical system Nestix, using Orbix as middleware. The transition also included the company-wide Euro conversion.
2000Performing a trial Euro conversion at a Dutch production company. The packages involved are Finance, Distribution and Manufacturing in BaanIVc4.
1999-2000Optimization of the BaanIV Finance package at a German steel-processing company including upgrade to BaanIVc4. This included the technical preparations and conversion to the Euro for both the internal (administration) and external initialization (relations).
1998-2001Implementation of the Baan application at a European steel-producing company, with production and sales companies in 17 countries. This is an implementation of the BaanIV and Proloq MDIM3 / MDIM4 applications that was run from a global project.
1998-2001Several activities in the Global Project Team for Finance, Integrations, Distribution and Orgware.
1999-2000Responsible for the organization and the roll out of Orgware (DEM). This work included the creation of procedures and the maintenance of the global Reference Model. Local support was given during development, test and roll out of the local models in the Central- and South European countries.
1999-2000Responsible for the setup and roll out of Archiving procedures.

Involved in introducing the Euro currency and developing/testing the Baan software.

1999-2000Finance support for the local sales company in Austria.
1998-2001The work for the local project team involved the implementation of Finance, Distribution, Integrations and Orgware at two companies in the Benelux.
2001Functional tests of interfaces between BaanIVc and Nestix v2.3. This concerned both the logistical interfaces (purchase, sales, manufacturing) as well as the financial interfaces.
1998-1999Performing a mapping of BaanIV for a Dutch production company, with Make-to-Order characteristics. The packages involved are Finance, Distribution and Manufacturing. After this, the piloting & migration phases for BaanIV were conducted for this company. I implemented the Finance module, the integrations from Distribution and Manufacturing (PCS). This customer went live in Q4 1999.
1998Designing ‘to be’ business processes in the field of Sales and Marketing for a major Dutch bank. This ‘vision model’ development is a base for a future organization and the necessary IT-support. This project is performed in cooperation with Baan AllFinance, using BaanSeries Orgware.
1998Implementation of the BaanIV application for a Dutch consulting company. This involved the Project and Finance packages.
1998Implementation of the BaanIV Finance package at a German steel-processing company as a preparation to implementing Baan and Proloq.
1997-1998Development of the Aerospace & Defense Reference Model according to the Baan methods and conventions. The model uses the Baan A&D Software Extension to the BaanIVc application. The project was executed in the USA at the Baan Aerospace & Defense Solution Center in Seattle (WA), after which the project proceeded in the Netherlands.

1992– 1997 – Fokker Aircraft related experience

Experience with financial automation, during all phases from (technical) project management and information-analysis up to realization. Employment in the field of warehouse- and cost-price-accounting, payroll and accounts receivable systems, cash management, budgeting and management information systems.
1991-1992Fokker Aircraft, graduation assignment with the department of Test and Simulation. Goal of this assignment was to analyze the data structure and to design a Measuring Administration & Control System.
